Notes
- Chain stitch at the end of each round does not count as a stitch.
- Join and turn where indicated in the pattern.
- Make colour changes by completing the last stitch with the new colour and dropping the colour just used.
- Be sure to pull yarn to one side of the granny stitch heart.
How to make colour changes
- Work to the end of the row with the main colour to last stitch.
- When you reach the last stitch of the row, work the stitch as you normally would, but stop just before the last step of the stitch. Work a single crochet stitch, insert your hook, yarn over with the main colour, and draw up a loop, but do not complete the stitch
- Drop the main colour yarn and pick up the contrast colour yarn.
- Yarn over with the contrast colour and draw the loop through the two loops on the hook to complete the last stitch of the row.
- Chain one with the contrast colour to start the new row.
- Turn the work and work the next row with the contrast colour.
- Repeat this same method each time you make a colour change.

Ch 4, join with slst to form a circle. Ch 1.
Round 1:Cream
7 sc into the circle. Join with slst, ch 1, turn.

Sc in 1st st, ch 1. *Sc in next st, ch 1* Rpt from * to * to end of round. Join with slst. Ch 1, turn. Place stitch marker in slst. (7 ch-1 spaces)
