Valentine’s Day is sneaking up on us (how is it almost February already?!), and if you’re anything like me, your crochet hook has been flying through projects for friends, family, or maybe even a craft fair. Don’t forget to add a special touch with some free crochet valentines labels to complete your handmade gifts.
To make your handmade gifts extra special, I’ve created these free Valentine’s crochet tags—because let’s face it, every project deserves a little something extra to show it’s made with love.

There are three different styles to choose from, and they’re all available as free downloads in my VIP Library. Here’s a quick rundown:
- Small tags – Perfect for little projects like dishcloths or cute amigurumi.
- Large tags – Great for those big, cozy items like blankets or shawls.
- Labels – These are longer and sleeker, ideal for wrapping around your project or even using as bookmarks.
Each tag features Valentine’s-inspired designs with hearts, bunting, and envelopes—because who doesn’t love a little romance? ❤️

How to Use Your Tags
Adding tags to your crochet projects is super easy. Here’s how I like to use them:
- Print them out. I recommend using cardstock if you want them to feel extra sturdy.
- Cut them out. Scissors work just fine, but if you’re fancy with a paper cutter, go for it!
- Add a string or ribbon. Bonus points if it matches the colours of your project.
- Personalize them. Write a little note on the back or add your name—it’s those small touches that people love!
Why These Tags Are a Must-Have
Let’s be real—crochet is a labour of love. Whether you’re gifting your projects or selling them, adding a tag is the cherry on top. It says, “Hey, I made this just for you.” Plus, they look adorable and make your creations stand out.

These tags are Valentine’s Day-themed but still versatile enough to use all year. Here’s what you’ll find:
