How to resize this blanket

IMPORTANT NOTES ON RESIZING THIS CROCHET THROW
This pattern calls for a multiple of 2 .
For this pattern a starting chain of 90. So written another way would be 90 + 1. If you want to change the size chain a number divisible by 2 then pop one extra chain on the end.
Please take note! This blanket is worked sideways. Which means the rows being crocheted are the length of the throw not the width.
Start by making a chain of 91 stitches and this will equal approximately 60″ which is the length of the throw.
If you want to make it longer you will want to add extra chains at this point.
If you want to change the width of this crochet throw then simply crochet less or more rows.

And remember your starting chain is the LENGTH of the blanket.
Chain 91
Start by making a chain of 91 stitches and this will equal approximately 60″ which is the length of the throw.
If you want to adjust the length of the throw you will want to chain more or less for your starting chain. Just be sure that it is a multiple of 2 + 1 (see notes on page 4).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each chain across (90) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sk 1st sc, (sc, dc) in next sc. *Sk next sc, (sc, dc) in next* rpt from * to * till end or row. Ch 1, turn. (90)
Row 3: Sk 1st dc, (Sc, dc) in 1st sc, *Sk next dc, (sc, dc) in next sc* rpt from * to * till end of row. Ch 1, turn. (90)
Continue to repeat row 3 until your throw measures 50” or desired width.
Last row: Sc in 1st and each st across. (90) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tassels
What You’ll Need: list materials needed to make a tassel
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Cardboard 4” to 5” piece of cardboard
Making the Tassel: step-by-step instructions for creating a tassel
Start by wrapping the yarn around the cardboard numerous times (at least 20). The more wraps, the fuller your tassel will be.
Once you’ve wrapped the yarn around the cardboard, cut the yarn at the bottom of the cardboard then with a piece of yarn about 10” long tie off the top with a knot. Keep the ends long this is what you will be using to tie the tassel to the blanket.
Now slide it off of the cardboard.
Next, take another piece of yarn and wrap it around the body about ¼ of the way down from the top of the tassel as many times as you like and tie off. Then with a yarn need weave the ends through the middle of the tassel.
Cut and trim the bottom of the tassel so it’s even all around.
That’s it! All you need to is fasten off choose more yarn and keep hooking!
