Adjusting the size of your dishcloth or towel is easy!
Simply adjust the starting chain to get your desired width.
The stitch pattern is worked in multiples of 2 + 1.
For example:
Dishcloth: 20 + 1 = 21 chains
Towel: 44 + 1 = 45 chains
So just chain a number divisible by 2, then add one extra chain at the end.

Row 2: Hdc in 1st st, slst in next. *Hdc in next st, slst in next* repeat from *to* until end of row. (44) Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Hdc in 1st slst, slst into hdc. Hdc in next slst, slst in next hdc repeat from to until end of row. (44) Ch 1, turn.
Continue to repeat Row 3, alternating colours each row, until your towel measures 20” or desired length, finishing with last 2 rows in Coral.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Yarn: Two strands held together (you can use two strands of the same colour or mix two different colours – your choice!)
