This coffee cup cozy pattern is made using worsted weight yarn making it a great scrap project. Settle into some Netflix and your crochet cup sleeve will be done in no time!

You can purchase this easy-to-follow crochet pattern HERE right now and have it delivered digitally to your inbox so you can start crocheting as soon as possible! OR scroll down for the free pattern.

THE YARN

I made these cozies with Lion’s Brand Wool Ease  is a 80% Acrylic, 20% Wool blend.  If you cannot find the colours you want there, any worsted weight would work great.

Cotton would be a great substitute if you wanted to make for cold drinks on hot days the cotton will absorb that moisture which is a nice feature.

Want to use your own yarn?  Check out www.yarnsub.com to see if it is a good substitution.

MAJOR PROBLEM in the montero cozy video: For Round 4, the pattern and on-screen text say to alternate HDC and SLIP STITCH throughout, but when you *speak* the directions, you say to alternate HDC and SINGLE CROCHET throughout. If someone was only listening to the tutorial (as I was at first) and not reading along, they’re going to wonder why in Round 5 you’re talking about so many slip stitches (as I did at first). Took me forever to figure out what the problem really was!

Hi Courtney – you just need to slip stitch after each section of the cozy is complete :). This is mostly so that the correct sides of the stitches all show up on the same side. Hope this helps.

    Hi,
I am making the Montero Crochet Cup Cozy and have a question about the pattern. In rows 1-3 it only says to slip stitch after round 3. Are the 3 rounds continuous and you just slip stitch and turn after 3 rounds are is each round joined and turned?

    Thanks,
    Courtney
