It seems so long ago since I designed this crochet pumpkin hat pattern. Christian my youngest would have been 2 years old and loved this hat! We had a Berry an Apple and of course a crochet Pumpkin hat all made from this one design. Now my boys are so much bigger I rarely make cute little hats like these anymore.
I thought it would be fun share all the sizes for the crochet pumpkin hat. It would make a great costume at halloween for mom and me or dad and me or just me costume… well you get the picture. Hmmm maybe make a berry, apple and pumpkin… does that equal fruit salad? LOL
Okay enough with the silliness. Let’s start shall we? This crochet pumpkin hat is worked top down in all single crochet. Quick increases in the stitch count is what creates that sweet little ripple effect at the top. It is all single crochet so is a perfect beginner crochet pattern with a little more flare the just the standard crochet beanie.

Instructions for the crochet pumpkin stem and leaves are at the beginning of the pattern so be sure to go back and make those once the base of the pumpkin hat is done.
And PSST I love to see what you have done with my designs so be sure to tag me on Instagram! (@prettydarnadorable)
Have fun everyone. xo
