If you are looking to make a warm and cozy crochet beanie check out this beginner friendly free crochet beanie pattern & video tutorial!
The best part about this crochet beanie pattern is how quickly it makes up! I am a super slow crocheter and I can finish this hat in about 1 1/2 hours. I have made this hat out of many different super bulky yarns from Bernat Softee Chunky (not the baby softee) Lion Brand Thick N Quick and Loops and Threads Alpaca Lush and seriously love them all!
This hat is worked top down in the round and is perfect for a beginner – all you need to know how to do is chain, slip stitch and single crochet. When I design being able to work the hat top down is so important. It takes the guess work out of sizing because you can measure as you go and it is easy to make adjustments in the length if needed.
