Make a super quick, easy and fun looking Christmas stocking for your home or loved ones this year! The crochet Rainer Stocking is a great size, 18″ x 8″. Big enough to fit lots of treats and goodies and even has some stretch for those slighty quirky hard to fit presents. Who wouldn’t have a huge smile digging into one of these Christmas morning?
The ripple texture of this stocking is easily achieved by working a simple combination of single crochet and double crochet. It is perfect for beginners the crochet pattern includes instructional photos and as always extra help from me whenever needed.
The construction starts at the bottom of the toe working up to a solid coloured band at the top – perfect for embroidering names! Full instructions are included to achieve the striping combinations shown in the photos using Loops and Threads Charisma Yarn. There are so many colours available in this yarn you will be able to design a stocking for every person in your family. Extra good news – this stocking also looks fabulous in super bulky yarn – so clear out your stash!
Looks great in 3 colours too! Red and Green are worked for two rounds and cream in one.
Red and cream worked for one round only!
This one is made working the toe, heal and band in red then working cream and green for 3 rounds each.
As always I love to see your finished projects so be sure to tag me @prettydarnadorable on Instagram with #rainerstocking
Have fun all!
